چکیده

It has been reported that the amount of intermediate water, defined as water molecules loosely bound to a material, is useful index material's bio-inert properties. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) well-known biocompatible polymer with large water. Many researchers have showed PEGylated nanoparticles are passively accumulated in tumor tissues owing their enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effects. Dendrimers regularly branched polymers highly controllable size structure, which can be exploited potent drug carriers. In this study, we investigated tripartite relationship among PEG density, hydration state, passive targeting property, using dendrimers. The fully dendrimer, PEG64-den, similar behavior property. contrast, state partly PEG5-den, was different from property not observed. This first report show carrier well discuss between biodistribution.

Immunogenicity of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)

Covalent attachment of polyethylene glycol (PEG) to active proteins (PEGylation technology) successfully generated several FDA-approved compounds, including four blockbusters, which are considered non immunogenic. However, PEG antibodies and intolerance to the infusion were reported in some patients with gout treated with pegloticase, a PEG-uricase recently approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Ad...

Effects of Thymolphthalein on Thermo-Oxidative Stability of High Density Polyethylene in Melt and Solid States

The present work aimed to evaluate capability of a new molecular structure to stabilize polyethylene against thermal oxidation. Hence, effects of 3,3-bis(4-hydroxy-2-methyl-5-propan-2-ylphenyl)-2-benzofuran-1-one (thymolphthalein) on thermo-oxidative stability of high density polyethylene (HDPE) in both solid and melt states were investigated and compared with those of SONGNOX 1010, a comme...

In Vivo Anti-Tumor Activity of Polypeptide HM-3 Modified by Different Polyethylene Glycols (PEG)

HM-3, designed by our laboratory, is a polypeptide composed of 18 amino acids. Pharmacodynamic studies in vivo and in vitro indicated that HM-3 could inhibit endothelial cell migration and angiogenesis, thereby inhibiting tumor growth. However, the half-life of HM-3 is short. In this study, we modified HM-3 with different polyethylene glycols (PEG) in order to reduce the plasma clearance rate, ...

Low Volume Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Plus Ascorbic Acid, a Valid Alternative to Standard PEG

Adequate bowel preparation is essential to improve colonoscopy quality. Inadequate bowel preparation may result in lower colonoscopy completion rate, longer duration of colonoscopy, and lower diagnostic yield for polyps. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) has been shown to be safe and effective, and thus regarded as the gold standard for bowel preparation before colonoscopy. However, the standard PEG re...

hemoglobin modified with maleimide - activated polyethylene glycol

We have recently described human hemoglobin surfacemodified with polyethylene glycol (MP4, registered trademark Hemospan) that does not possess the vasoconstrictive properties which have hampered development of some hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers. Based on in vitro studies, we postulated that this lack of vasoconstriction is due to decreased diffusive oxygen transfer in the plasma space as a ...
